Entanglement
Josh's stepmom mailed me a box of gorgeous yarn with a request to make her a piece of art.
I decided to weave a piece and add embellishments. During her and Josh's dad visit we took them along the pedestrian bridge over the Umatilla River. I remember looking down at the river and soaking in the moment.
Find Your Way
I completed it early spring 2023. Find Your Way is named after a Rising Appalachia song. The yarn used consists of handspun yarn that I spun over a 14 year period.
An Old WIP Returns
A decade ago I was living in New Mexico. My career as a fiber artist was slowly taking off.
I had been in local art shows in Taos and Santa Fe. Then in 2012 I blew up my life and escaped to Portland. It was an intense time. So much change was happening all at once. I was experiencing so many emotions, I suppose it was only natural that my works in progress went into hibernation.
