About Stephanie
My hands have been busy since I was a girl, but my path to this moment wasn't a straight line;
It was a slow gathering of worlds. It wound through the shared rhythm of a Midwest commune, the sunbaked silence of living off-grid in New Mexico, and the wide, shifting horizons of my years overseas. I’ve lived on the fringes and in the heart of the mainstream, and every stitch I make now carries the memory of these places, a blending of wild independence and the quiet, steady craft I’ve carried with me since youth. There were times when the world felt very dark, and I had to find my way back to the light. In those seasons of survival, making art wasn't a choice; it was the thread that pulled me through. It is how I reclaim my story and stitch myself back together. My work is a celebration of making it through. I know what it’s like to need a spark of joy to hold onto. Making art is my proof that we can create something beautiful from the multifaceted pieces of our lives.
I help people move away from the gray, mass-produced doldrums and into a life that feels like a personal celebration.
Sometimes we need our outer world to remind us of the rainbow of colors we have inside. When you wear one of my pieces, you aren't just wearing fabric; you're wearing a reminder to trust your own instincts, to be a little bolder, and to find the magic in the everyday.
The world is heavy enough; we don’t need our clothes to be. When we choose items made with intention, upcycled materials rescued from the landfill and crafted under the power of the sun, we take a stand against disposable culture. When you feel like yourself, you move through the world differently. You’re more awake. Bringing art into the everyday isn’t a luxury. It’s how we transform the mundane into magic.
